What is an ISO 10005 quality plan?
ISO 10005:2018 provides guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and updating a quality plan — a document that specifies the quality practices, resources, and work sequence for a specific contract, project, product, process, or service. It applies to any type or size of business, in any industry.
A quality plan is the document your Customer receives that briefly describes how your Company intends to meet their requirements for a specific project. It is not a full quality management system — it is a focused, project-specific commitment. Customers in aerospace, defense, construction, manufacturing, and government contracting routinely require one before awarding a contract.
